POOL & CLUB HOURS

Pool is cleared 15 minutes prior to closing. Hours may be adjusted due to seasonal change or inclement weather.

• Outdoor Pools: Monday - Saturday 11am-8:30pm; Sunday 11am-7pm

• The Grill: Monday-Saturday 11am-8pm; Sunday 11am-6:30pm

• Indoor Pool: Monday 6am–6pm; Tuesday-Thursdays 6am–7pm; Friday 6am–6pm; Saturday 7am-3pm; Sunday 7am-2pm

• Fitness Club: Monday-Thursday 5:30am-9pm; Friday 5:30am-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 7am-6pm

CHECK-IN

• Genesis is a membership club. All Members and their Guest(s) MUST CHECK-IN at either the Front Desk or the Outdoor Pool Check-In when entering the club, NO EXCEPTIONS.

• Children 12 yrs. & younger must be accompanied by an adult or guardian and be supervised while at the Club.

• All Members must have a valid Genesis Scan Card and an up-to-date profile photo on file to access the Club.

GUESTS

• Guest Fees will apply: $15/guest on weekdays, $20/guest on weekends and holidays.

• Guests must be accompanied by a member of the Club.Guests are required to register and sign a liability waiver upon entering the Club.

• If inclement weather occurs which causes the lifeguard to clear the pool, rain checks will be issued for guest fees paid within 2 hours of the time of their arrival to the Club and when the pool was initially cleared.

PROHIBITED

• NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted to be brought onto the Club grounds, by order of the City of Hurstbourne and the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.No outside fast food, pizza or restaurant delivery is allowed. You will be asked to remain outside the pool property if you plan to eat this food. Genesis WILL inspect coolers entering the Club. Only snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed. NO BEVERAGES and FOOD ALLOWED IN THE SWIMMING POOLS. Beverages and food are limited to the POOL DECK ONLY.MEMBERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING THEIR OWN LOUNGE CHAIRS OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF CHAIRS.We request that members do not re-arrange the deck chairs and tables.NO SMOKING - Genesis is a SMOKE FREE facility. No smoking is permitted on the Club property. This includes Vapes, Vape Pens, and E-Cigarettes.NOT ALLOWED ON THE CLUB GROUNDS - Glass containers, illegal drugs, weapons of any sort.

UNATTENDED CHILDREN

• Children ages 12 and under may not be left unattended at the Club. A parent or guardian (age 18+) must be on the Club grounds and are expected to supervise their child(ren) at all times.NO Children will be allowed inside the Club other than to use the bathroom or if accompanied by an adult in the weight or cardio room at any point in time. NO EXCEPTIONS!

• Any children found without adult supervision or unattended will be brought into the Club to call their parent or guardian to pick them up.

 

PARKING

• We advise you to leave all valuables at home or keep with you at all times. Do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.

• Always lock your vehicle.

• The club IS NOT liable for damaged or stolen property or vehicles.

 

NANNY/BABYSITTER

• You may add a Nanny to your Summer Membership for a $125 fee + tax. This fee allows use of the outdoor and indoor pools only - it does not include fitness or tennis. A nanny cannot use the facilities without the presence of the child(ren) they are caring for.

 

LIGHTNING/THUNDER

• At the sight of lightning and/or sound of thunder, outdoor pools will be cleared for 30 minutes. If severe weather persists, Blairwood may modify the outdoor and indoor pool hours. During this time, we ask that all members wait in the dining area of the Club, in their cars, or return home. No waiting under umbrellas or awnings is permitted.

 

LIFEGUARDS

• Genesis Lifeguards are here to enforce rules and regulations, and to respond to emergency situations. Parents and Guardians are ultimately responsible for the safety, care, and whereabouts of their child(ren).

• Genesis staff is trained to handle emergencies in an efficient and safe manner. Please do not crowd the emergency area.

 

LAP SWIMMING

• Genesis is the only private Club in Louisville with both outdoor and indoor pools. Lap swimming is available at the indoor pool and the outdoor pool.

• Please check the website for updated open lap swim times and lanes.

 

TENNIS AND PICKLE BALL COURTS

• Use of the outdoor tennis courts is FREE between the hours of 12 noon and 5 pm, 7 days a week.

• All other times, the outdoor tennis court rate is $20/hr.

• Pickle Ball court fees are $16/hr.

• The indoor court rate is $45/hr. There is a charge for Indoor Courts at all times.

• Court reservations are required for both the outdoor and indoor courts (even during Free Outdoor Court Time). Tennis Court Reservations must be made by calling the Front Desk at 426-8820 ext 0.  Pickleball Court Reservations can be made by calling the Front Desk at 426-8820 ext 0.

 

OUTDOOR POOL

• In-line with Kentucky Board of Health Rules and Regulations, the following are prohibited in the pool area:

  • Running, dunking, pushing, towel snapping, playing on ladders, excessive splashing, carrying a person on another’s shoulders, or other unsafe practices. No water guns.

  • Any glass containers including drink glasses and glass baby bottles.

  • No floats inside lap lane lines; floats may be prohibited on exceptionally crowded days.

  • No cutoffs or tennis shorts in the pools.

• Children not toilet trained are not permitted in the 50-meter pool and must wear swim diapers in the 25 meter and Baby pools. Swim diapers are available for purchase at Check-In.

• The baby pool is for children ages 6 and under. A parent or guardian must remain in the baby pool area at all times.

• A parent must be within an arm's reach of children that are in flotation devices. Children using flotation devices may not be unaccompanied in the water for any reason. A parent/guardian must be with them.

• No plastic, hard rubber, or tennis balls permitted in the pool or pool area.

• Lap lane is for lap swimmers only.

• DIVING WELL RULES:

1. One at a time on board.

2. No diving until the previous diver has moved to the side of the pool.

3. Children may not jump off diving board into a parent's arms.

4. All divers must go straight off the front of the board and swim immediately to the ladder closest to them.

5. No flotation devices may be used on the diving boards (i.e.: inner tubes, water wings, etc.).

6. No handstands or cartwheels are allowed from any diving board.

7. No goggles can be worn while using the diving board.

• A club representative can refuse admission, or expel from the water, anyone having any contagious disease, infectious conditions or any other condition which has the appearance of being infectious. Persons with excessive sunburn abrasions that are not healed, corn plasters, bunion pads, adhesive tape, rubber bandages, or other bandages of any kind are not to be permitted in the water.

• A person under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior shall not be permitted in the pool area.

LOCKER ROOMS/RESTROOMS/SHOWERS

• Toilets, a shower, and changing area are available in the outdoor pool restrooms. When using the outdoor pool, please use the outdoor facilities or the restroom in the hallway, not the locker rooms.

• No one over the age of four (4) is allowed in the opposite gender locker room or restroom.

• Only individuals over the age of 16 are permitted to use the sauna or steam room.

 

STRENGTH/CARDIO FACILITIES

• Children ages 14 and under are not permitted in the exercise rooms without adult supervision.

• Swimsuits, flip flops, and cut-off pants are not permitted when working out in the Strength or Cardio areas, do not be surprised or unruly if asked to leave due to this violation.

PROPER ATTIRE/BEHAVIOR

• All patrons must be clothed upon entering the inside portion of the club. NO EXCEPTIONS!

• Please refrain from excessive personal displays of affection, pushing, shoving, running, spitting, horseplay, or use of profanity.

• Gathering of individuals are not allowed indoors. NO EXCEPTIONS!

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

• Please do not leave items of value unattended, especially items left in your vehicle within sight.

• Genesis will keep clothing items left on the premises for one week. Then they are donated to charity.

• The Club does not keep goggles, flippers, pool toys and the like. They are disposed of daily.

TOWELS

• Please bring your own towel for pool use and locker room use.

 

PETS

• ·No pets are allowed on the pool deck.
